Day Dawn

The current combined total Identified Mineral Resource Estimate (JORC) at Day Dawn is 743,000oz most of which is from the high grade resources located at Great Fingall and Golden Crown. The Great Fingall Underground Mine contains a remnant total Identified Mineral Resource Estimate (JORC) of 1.3Mt @ 9.4g/t (396,000oz)ยน. This is overlain by a remnant open pit resource (JORC) of 83,000oz. While mining has occurred more recently from the open pit there has been no significant mining from underground since 1918. Historic underground production from Great Fingall totals 1.9Mt @ 19.5g/t (1.2Moz) which makes it ones of the highest grade producers in the District.

Located just 500 meters to the south west is the Golden Crown deposit. The remnant total Identified Mineral Resource Estimate (JORC) at Golden Crown totals 642,000t @ 9.0g/t (186,000oz). Underground mining ceased in 1996 reportedly because the underground development rate could not keep up with the production demands of the 2.3Mt per annum Big Bell processing plant. Total historic production from Golden Crown is 648Kt @ 13.8g/t (288Koz).

Westgold recognises the potential to unify these high grade deposits with a single access decline to supply high grade feed and compliment the base load production from the Big Bell Underground Mine.

These exciting high grade deposits are hosted within the prolific Great Fingall Dolerite. This highly prospective geological unit extends 12km through the tenement package. Numerous deposits have been identified along its strike length and excellent potential for further high grade discoveries remain. Westgold is encouraged by early drill success at the Trenton Reef located approx 1km south of Golden Crown.
