Rover Project

Westgold’s Rover Project represents a new south-western extension to the prolific Tennant Creek Goldfield which has produced over 5.0million ounces of gold and 500,000 tonnes of copper to date and represents one of Australia’s top five goldfields.

Westgold holds a commanding 14,000 km2 landholding in this new extension to the goldfield and has already looking to establish the first gold and copper mine in the area at Rover 1 (1MozAuEq). The project represents a unique opportunity for the Company to control the vast majority of land within a grossly undeveloped extension to the goldfield.

The iron oxide copper-gold (“IOCG”) mineralisation is typically high grade with past gold mines in Tennant Creek averaging between 7 to 56g/t gold and 2 to 5% copper. The largest historical mine, Warrego, has produced over a 1.0 million ounces of gold and 174,000 tonnes of copper and at Rover 1 mineralisation is defined over similar if not larger dimensions to this deposit.

Westgold’s project area includes the advanced Explorer 142 prospect where similar high grade copper and gold mineralisation has been intersected and drilling continues on this larger magnetic target. Numerous other similar geophysical targets remain completely untested providing excellent potential for new discoveries within the portfolio.

Additionally, a large Pb-Zn-Ag resource containing approximately 500,000 tonnes of lead and zinc metal plus 5.0 million ounces of silver has been discovered within the tenements at the Explorer 108 prospect. This base metal mineralisation is a new style of mineralisation for the region and provides another layer of increased prospectivity throughout the region.

Through the combination of advanced drilling and regional exploration the Company is aiming the continued growth of the already significant resource base within the Rover Project and the potential to establish a number of new mines in this highly prospective region.
