Mr Newton was a highly successful stockbroker for 25 years until 1994. Since then he has been a significant participant in the Australian resource industry as an investor and a director of a number of listed companies. In past years he has been the Chairman of both Hill 50 Limited and Abelle Limited. Mr Newton has held no other public company directorships in the past three years, other than Metals X Limited (appointed 14 December 2012).
Mr Cook is a Geologist (BSc (Applied Geology)) and a Mineral Economist (MSc (Min. Econ), MAusIMM with over 30 years of experience in the fields of exploration, project, operational and corporate management of mining companies. During the past three years he has served as a director of Metals X Limited, Pantoro Limited, Mongolian Resource Corporation Limited and Aziana Limited. He is a past winner of the GMJ Mining Executive of the Year in 2001 and the Asian – Mining Executive of the Year in 2015, awarded at the Mines and Money Conference in Hong Kong in 2015.
Mr Norregaard is a Mining Engineer (B.Eng WASM) with over 25 years corporate and mine management experience in base metal and gold operations across Australia, Canada and South East Asia. Key positions previously held by Mr Norregaard include general manager of Macmahon Holdings Limited’s underground contracting division, Managing Director of Tectonic Resources NL, Chief Operating Officer of Trelawney Mining and Exploration Inc. and Managing Director RED 5 Limited.
Ms Van Maanen is a CPA, holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree and a Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice. Mrs Van Maanen has significant experience in accounting and financial management in the mining and resources industry.
Mr Schwann (Assoc. in Applied Geology, FAusIMM (25 years), FAIG, MSEG) is a highly experienced internationally recognised geologist and mining executive. Mr Schwann has broad experience across multiple commodities with vast geological capability as well as significant operational management. Mr Schwann is also a director of Aruma Resources Limited.
Mr Shet is a mining professional with over 22 years of experience ranging from exploration to new mine development including feasibility studies, mergers and acquisitions and project valuation. Mr Shet joined Sinarmas Mining in 2011 and is an advisor to the board on various technical aspects including driving operational performance. He is an Associate Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) and also a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM). He holds a Master of Science in Geology and has broad experience in various mineral commodities. Mr Shet has previously worked with a number of notable companies including PT.Thiess Contractors Indonesia, Tata Steel Limited and Sesa Goa Limited while it was under the management of Ilva International, Italy and later Mitsui & Co Limited, Japan.
